Die Sanyos geladen, in die Kamera gesetzt, alles ist gut. Nach ein paar Tagen nehme ich die Kamera mit zu einer Veranstaltung, und schon nach 10 Bildern ist der Akku leer. Komisch. Also die alten Uniross aus der Tasche geholt, die Veranstaltung mit ihnen fotografiert. Zu Hause die Sanyos wieder geladen.

Eneloops sind als AA- und AAA-Typen zu haben und prinzipiell ganz normale NiMh-Akkus. Allerdings haben sie einen entscheidenden Vorteil, denn während die herkömmlichen NiMh-Akkus eine recht hohe Selbstentladung aufweisen und sich dadurch auch nicht für Anwendungen wie Fernbedienungen, Taschenlampen oder andere Geräte eignen, die eher selten genutzt werden, haben die Eneloops eine jährliche Selbstentladung von etwas 15% der Nennkapazität. Bei den normalen Akkus muss man hingegen mit ca. 1% Entladung pro Tag (bei neuen Zellen) rechnen.
