Torchwood/Being Human - Ianto meets George at dawn and hands him a sweatshirt. But there's more to this, and it's great fun! Mitchell and Jack don't get on very well, Ianto apprciates George's sarcasm - a fantastic little crossover.

There are truths you just can't live with. Ianto knows that better than anyone. Jack cheats in this, if it bothers you - but that's mostly not what this fic is about, It's Ianto - being scarily, plausibly Ianto. It's fantastic angst of the best kind.

James’ breath leaves his lungs in a sudden huff, because Gareth is heavier than he looks, and certainly heavier than anyone James has had in his lap lately. But unexpected is not the same as unwelcome, and Gareth’s kiss tastes like whiskey cut with water, slides down James’ throat sharp and burning. Kita calls this one basically just porno - I think she's wrong - there's a relationship in there, in the beautiful prose, in the looks and the sighs. And even if it's so, I like my porn like this: lyrical and gorgeous.

This is a beautifully lyrical fic that explores Jack's reaction to being buried for thousands of years. It's not only rich in language, but rich in characterisation - Jack's forgotten everything, but Ianto helps him remember. And it's nowhere near as cliched as that makes it sound!

It wasn’t as though his other charges were undemanding. Google wasn’t turning up much in the way of help on caring for your first pterodactyl, and Myfanwy wasn’t eating very well. At least, she wasn’t eating food very well. She ate technology, carrying out dawn raids on the computers and spreading wires about like entrails. She liked paperwork too, and shredded it with relish as fast as Ianto could file. And then there was Jack, who was blessedly uncurious about Ianto’s personal life, but none the less demanding in his own way. A lovely, lovely fic, with very realistic animal training (which is not surprising given this is smirnoffmule :) Great appearance by Myfanwy, but a gorgeous, honest look at Jack and Ianto too.

He approached slowly, and his expression was the same as when he'd been reaching to touch the fresh weevil bite on Jack's neck; purposeful, knowing. "You're not interested in what I'm doing. You're interested in me." Hot and angsty - who could ask for more? Oblivious Jack fucking Ianto right next to Lisa in a crate. It works on so many levels :)
