As Apple continues to expand the retail distribution of the iPhone 3G, a new report indicates that Walmart may be the next retailer to begin selling the quickly=growing smartphone.
Back in April I wrote about the availability of fring on the iPhone, but at that time you needed a jailbroken iPhone to use it and the iPhone 3G wasn’t yet available. You may recall that fring is a VoIP application that lets you use Skype, MSN, Google Talk, ICQ, Twitter, Yahoo!, and AIM clients to chat and instant message. Well, the good news is that fring is available now for free in the Apple App Store and can be loaded on your iPhone without any jailbreaking required.
Google has released the web-based version of its Google Talk optimized for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The application works from Safari and looks pretty much the same as the GTalk desktop client.

Maybe it’s because I work as a reporter, but it seems to me that secrets are overrated. I suspect that so often the cost of keeping secrets is greater than whatever benefit they bring.

They have done it again. AT&T’s Free Wi-Fi for iPhone is pulled down again. It seems AT&T just can’t make their minds about this. Even the description of their website is gone.
