The Women's Health Initiative Cohort Study was one recent study that included more than 74,000 women and reported a 14% lower risk for breast cancer for women engaged in regular strenuous exercise at the age of 35 years and an 8% lower risk for women engaged in regular physical activity at age 50 years. Physical activity reduces the endogenous production of estrogens by reducing adipose, the major source of estrogens in postmenopausal women, and this may be a mechanism of protection especially for ER+ tumors.

Note that this response is in women with ovaries--I wonder if women without may have trouble mobilizing that amount of hormone.

"One study conducted just last summer concluded that vigorous physical activity significantly reduced body fat and waist size." These exercises are NOT for those within 4 months postop and they will only tone muscles, not remove belly fat when overall food consumption is execessive in relation to needs.
