Statement from ACOG to FDA in support of Wyeth's petition to outlaw compounded hrts: many of their points are valid individually, but instead of improving the situation, will be used to cut a valid option in favor of big pharmcos. The bit about no indication for customized dosing is specifically contradicted by existing research, and the "dose errors" sort of skips over any contrast with the number of times pharmcos have to issue recalls for bad hrt batches. But this is what the Big Business of medicine does to support the Big Business of pharmaceutical manufacturing, and that's what the US currently places above the consumer's interest.
