I often struggle to extract information from crappy HTML. My default approach typically involves using grep or sed while issuing a steady stream of expletives. This library makes it easy to extricate useful content from a veritable soup of insidiously crafted HTML.

"One of the most frequently asked questions in the GTK mailing lists is 'How do I use threads with GTK'. Actually, the question is more often 'I’ve started writing a GTK program, and it doesn’t work. What the hell?' and it quickly emerges that they’re trying to do a multi-threaded GTK app, and doing it wrong."

"We built a code review system called Review Board. Like most projects, it started out simple, but grew to be pretty powerful and useful quickly. It was designed to automate and simplify the process of creating review requests and actually reviewing code."

A nice < http://www.gnomejournal.org/article/49/tinymail-evolution-and-intelligent-design article > in the GNOME Journal introduces < http://tinymail.org/ Tinymail >, a compact framework developed by < http://pvanhoof.be/ Philip Van Hoof > for making e-mail applications for mobile platforms. I've been reading Philip's blog entries on Plant GNOME to keep up with the development process, but the article at GNOME Journal is a good overview for those that aren't familiar with it yet. Nokia and the OLPC project have both expressed in interest in the framework, and it looks like it has a lot of potential.
