In a comment posted on the blog entry, "Erik" posted a link to an < http://alumni.imsa.edu/~eryanv/thumbnail_patch excellent patch > he wrote that adds support for automatically deleting the extra thumbnails.

Glade 3.0 has been < http://gnomedesktop.org/node/2737 released >. With many excellent user interface improvements and some nifty new features, it looks like an appealing update. I'm particularly pleased with the new < http://www.gnomejournal.org/images/181.png unified window > mode.
