I have been guilty in the past of not giving steady state aerobics any respect. I am a big believer in high intensity interval training because it is extremely effective at burning body fat. I LOVE high intensity interval training. It is quick and gets results, but obviously steady state aerobics have great advantages as well. In this article I will talk about combining the two to maximize fat loss.

A big argument for eating 6 meals per day, is that the 6 small meals supposedly increases the metabolic rate. It is also argued that if you skip meals, you metabolism will shut down and your body will hoard fat. Well the British Journal of Nutrition has cited a study which proves this theory wrong.

Arthur Jones, the inventor of the Nautilus machines, passed away at the age of 80 on August 28, 2007. He was a radical thinker who completely went against the popular fitness ideas of his day. I consider him a mentor and a true pioneer when it came to fitness. Arthur first came out with his Nautilus machines in 1970.

Famous philosopher Derek Zoolander once asked this great question…"Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?". Obviously that is a tough question! Let me think on that…

I am an opinionated fitness advisor, who believes that too much muscle ruins the look of a physique. I believe that most people would rather look like a "Hollywood" Actor or Actress, than look like a Bulky Bodybuilder.

Have you ever heard of the "Tabata Protocol"? It isn't a brand new way of performing cardio, but it is rarely discussed in fitness circles anymore. It is really too bad, because I think many people could benefit tremendously by incorporating it into their workout routines.

The Internet is a wonderful place to learn about "stuff"...the problem is that there is just too much stuff out there at times. Take the topic of fitness for instance. I did a Google search for the term "fitness" and ended up with 363 Million results! So how do you find the best info out of millions of fitness blogs?

The popular thing to say when we see a skinny Hollywood actress like Jessica Alba is this..."she needs to put on some weight" -or- "she needs to put some meat on her bones". Is this just something we say to make people feel better about themselves for being overweight?
