Hayden is pondering going to university in the Maritimes (he's really serious about that architecture thing) when Maya tempts him with an arty film about the futility of life. Upon learning that Viggo Mortenson has already signed on, Hayden falls all over himself to get on-board. They start shooting in the dusty fields of the Saskatchewan prairies, where Viggo sinks fully into his role as Hayden's dad, and where Hayden sinks deep into depression over his lust for Ewan McGregor.
