" Located next to the Post Office in downtown Brunswick, this comfortable eatery is focused on serving fresh, local foods and fine teas and herbs. Owner Jessica Gorton and Chef Josh DeGroot will be cooking up delicious soups, salads, pannini sandwiches, and desserts made with the finest, locally farmed ingredients, with choices for vegans and vegetarians as well as the omnivorous crowd. The Teahouse will be opened Tuesday through Saturday, for lunch and dinner. Sweet Leaves Teahouse is a restaurant serving delicious, healthy, and simple meals with a focus on locally grown foods. We will have vegetarian and vegan choices in soups, salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and desserts, as well as wheat-free choices. Our interest is in serving healthy food, and in encouraging a sense of community, both in our local food choices, and in supporting local artists and musicians with open-mics and performances on-site. Of course, we will also have fair-trade teas to complement our foods, as well as coffee, herbal tisanes, and other beverages. Cozy, warm, and inviting, Sweet Leaves Teahouse is a different kind of nightlife. Enjoy beautiful acoustic music while sipping your tea, or glass of wine. Peruse our collection of books on herbal lore, or enjoy a game of chess with a friend. Come to learn about the foods produced here in Maine, or simply to sit and soak in the atmosphere.
