'I Want a New Drug' is a song by Huey Lewis and the News, a very popular rock band in the 80's. It was released in 1984 as part of their album Sports which made it to the top of Billboards rankings in the same year. As the album's biggest hit, 'I Want a New Drug' was certified gold with sales of a million copies.
