It’s official. Gangstas & Hugs is now two years old. Who would have thought it was possible? Thanks to this blog, I’ve been able to waste time and obsess over page views like it was going out of style. It’s been fun though. I never imagined it would last this long or that G&H would be pulling in between 15,000 and 20,000 pageviews a month. Hell, I didn’t even know what an RSS feed was until way after I started blogging with this first post, back on August 24, 2005.

I keep checking back on the blog to see if I’ve made any new posts, and for some reason I’ve been remiss in my duties for weeks now. I’m not sure what posts I thought I might write while I wasn’t writing any, but it sure was disappointing to come back to old posts week after week.

I like to think this here blog is funny at times. But some days I just can’t think of a damn funny thing to write about. That’s when I start perusing my blog roll for inspiration. Turns out that’s not always successful, but it never fails that I find some posts that get me laughing out loud. And, as always, I like to give something back to those that make me pee my pants a little.

A 142 IQ isn’t that high you say? Well, I may not be up there with Einstein or Hawking, but I’m about twice as smart as that movie hack Forrest Gump. I think the school principal had a chart that put his IQ around 70, which is mildly retarded. So let’s see how my gargantuan intellect has faired me thus far in this expedition we call life, after the jump:

Would it be OK for people in your personal life to know you have a ‘French-cut’ wiener? Do they really want to be informed of that shit you took last night that clogged up the commode? What if you wanted to bitch about how someone in your life acted like a retard 16 hours out of the day, just to point out how humorous it was, but that individual happened to read your blog? What if you wanted to write an entire post about how neurotic one of your girlfriend’s friends is, but you have no idea if she mentioned your blog to that particular friend and you hate drama so you just forget about it?

A coworker pointed out this nasty little booger outside my office before I left on Friday. It was green with a hint of red. Seems someone must have had a little nose bleed problem before he or she flicked this puppy on the wall. I took the liberty of labeling the evidence in case you didn’t know what it was.

I’ve been skeeching off of other people’s grills for some time. Now that I have a new place of my own, I needs me my own grill. See, I’m a cooking fool. And a gas grill makes it so damn easy to cook. I’m not exactly busting at the seems with cash after said move, so I needed a little help with getting my grubby little hands on my own flesh cooking apparatus.

My brother teaches at a high school in the area. He emailed me this picture from his school account. Apparently an Agricultural Sciences teacher emailed this one and more like it to the entire staff off the school. What? Was she proud her students were learning how to artificially inseminate heifers from trained professionals? I don’t know about you, but this is the last thing I want to see pop up in my Outlook Inbox at work. Well, other than transexual midget porn… yeah, that would definitely be worse.

It’s been quite a while since my last post. I’m not exactly proud of that, but a lot’s been going on in mojo’s neck of the woods recently that is both directly and indirectly responsible for my brief hiatus. Most recently, my beloved Kentucky Wildcats couldn’t buy a three-pointer in a near-upset of everyone’s most-hated college basketball team, the Florida Gators. I’m going to refrain from being a typical “Gator Hater”, since that never goes very well for me. I’m also sure JJ and the rest of those evil Gainesville alum are busy doing the gator chomp, eating puppies, and whatever else people that sell their souls for a basketball and football championship in the same year do to make those around them miserable.
