The Playstation 3 European launch will fall within the first two weeks of March 2007. On the same day as the PS3’s Euro launch SCE will distribute their March firmware update. In the same week as the European PS3 launch Sony hope to see a worldwide launch of the PS3’s HDip Camera. A TV tuner and TiVo-like service to be available in Q3 2007.

Sony ’s PS3 is embedded with the Emotion Engine (EE) microprocessor and the Graphics Synthesizer (GS) drawing circuit developed for its precursor, the PS2. Ken Kutaragi, President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE), revealed this today to confirm all 8,181 PS2 games will work on PS3.

Sony today announced its debut game titles and unveiled the online strategy for the PS3. The company ’s PS3 along with 21 launch window games as well as downloadable games will be available in North America on November 17, 2006.
