No new James Bond 007 game until May 2nd 2008

With the 007 Casino Royale movie opening November 17th 2006, you ’d expected to see Activision’s first 007 game at the same time. Apparently the rights won’t be exclusive to Activision until September 2007, and the company is planning to release its first 007 game in conjunction with the next unnamed film, planned for May 2nd, 2008.

Halo movie director announced! Summer 2008 release. Halo-like footage included

Microsoft just announced the Halo motion picture will be helmed by Neill Blomkamp. Visual effects, miniatures, and creature design and creation will all be handled by Peter Jackson's award-winning Weta Digital & Workshop. Blomkamp directed the acclaimed 2005 short film, Alive in Joburg, that depicted a future with extraterrestrials (included).

New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game by Ubisoft coming in 2007

Movie-style helicopter jail break in Greece

When the movie Breakout was released in 1975, it was shown at Jackson State Prison (Michigan, USA). Several days later, someone tried to break an inmate out of the prison using a helicopter. Unlike the film it failed, probably because of the lack of Charles Bronson. But last weekend in another classic example of life imitating art, criminals did succeed!
