Microsoft has officially begun its unified Games for Windows program at stores today with the release of two titles, Traveller’s Tales’ LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, and Relic Entertainment’s Company of Heroes.

LEGO Star Wars II follows the Rebel Alliance ’s battle to dismantle the Galactic Empire and rebuild a galaxy in pieces.

Microsoft just posted a Backwards Compatibility update, with 39 new games and 9 updated games –the largest number of new games updated since the original list of over 200.
