Sony ’s PS3 is embedded with the Emotion Engine (EE) microprocessor and the Graphics Synthesizer (GS) drawing circuit developed for its precursor, the PS2. Ken Kutaragi, President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE), revealed this today to confirm all 8,181 PS2 games will work on PS3.

Sony Computer Entertainment corporate executive Izumi Kawanishi shared some unique visions Sony has for the PSP regarding the PS3. Games for PS3, PSP, PS1 and so-forth will be distributed via the network and other cool new features are discussed.

EyeToy, Sony’s motion-sensing camera add-on and PlayStation One emulation, will be hitting European shelves in October 2006, a month later than originally announced by Sony. No one outside of Sony has any idea what games to expect.
