Design and the Elastic Mind explores the reciprocal relationship between science and design in the contemporary world by bringing together design objects and concepts that marry the most advanced scientific research with attentive consideration of human limitations, habits, and aspirations. The exhibition highlights designers’ ability to grasp momentous changes in technology, science, and history—changes that demand or reflect major adjustments in human behavior—and translate them into objects that people can actually understand and use. This Web site presents over three hundred of these works, including fifty projects that are not featured in the gallery exhibition.

Eureka is an innovative presentation environment that allows users to navigate spatial collections of multimedia assets. It enables new narratives to emerge as users can shift seamlessly - mid presentation - between different compositions of imagery. This ability is especially valuable during group discussion and question time, and is counter to the traditional paradigm of presentation software: the linear sequence of the slideshow.

We create interactive installation artwork with natural and scientific themes for museums, hospitals, and many other venues around the world. At Mine-Control, we believe that art can be both playful and thought-provoking. Using unique technologies incorporating the entire body, a broad knowledge of science, and a long history of game development, we turn viewers into participants and teach them something along the way.
