The Hypermedia Image Processing Reference (HIPR) was developed at the Department of Artificial Intelligence in the University of Edinburgh in order to provide a set of computer-based tutorial materials for use in taught courses on image processing and machine vision. The package provides on-line reference and tutorial information on a wide range of image processing operations, extensively illustrated with actual digitized images, and bound together in a hypermedia format for easy browsing, searching and cross-referencing.

Thermitrack is a unique tracking device which provides realtime high-resolution position data from people moving within its field of view. Through use of thermal imaging technology (sensing body heat), it is completely unaffected by any fixed or changing light sources, needs no illumination, and works equally well in conditions from darkness to daylight, making it the perfect sensing device for interactive lighting systems and any other application where reliable detection of the movement of people is required.

This application is a webcam image processing library on top of OpenCV intended to generate events from user's head, hand and body movements. This library is also intended to track objects so that augmented reality can be made. In order to enhance human computer interaction, the application is going to use a single webcam, without the needs to use FTIR or Diffused Illumination techniques. Besides tracking positions, this library will also be able to provide higher level events and gestures like get 3d user position, and open hand gestures. Collision with virtual objects is also considered in augmented reality.

The Beta, tbeta for short, is a open source/cross-platform solution for computer vision and multi-touch sensing. It takes an video input stream and outputs tracking data (e.g. coordinates and blob size) and touch events (e.g. finger down, moved and released) that are used in building multi-touch applications. tbeta can interface with various web cameras and video devices as well as connect to various TUIO/OSC enabled applications and supports many multi-touch lighting techniques including: FTIR, DI, DSI, and LLP with expansion planned for the future (custom modules/filters).

Here you may download a reference implementation of the SLAM system described in our ISMAR 2007 paper (with the relocaliser from the ECCV'08 paper, and a Faugeras-Lustman initialiser instead of 5PP). This implementation was developed on Linux but should also compile on OSX and Win32 (With Visual Studio)
