Ranking High With No Traffic

I would suggest that instead of going after popular keywords and have to pay someone to do lots of SEO for your page, you should target some (actually lots) long tail keywords. Long tail keywords has been my main focus for traffic for a couple of months now and it seems to work better than spending all my time doing on-page SEO and link building. I use http://www.hittail.com to find good long tail keywords.
