"First impressions" of software etc, before submitting any bugs This started when I tried out the Ubuntu Dapper Flight5 and could think of no other place to put my notes than here, in my bookmarks (seeing as I couldn't save any files on the computer where I had started writing those notes -- read-only CD, other completely unrelated stuff on the hard drive). Welp, this could turn out to be a both useful and usable practice.

Extensions, plug-ins, packages, etc. This tag collects various software enhancements, whatever they may be called; Emacs Elisp packages, Mozilla plug-ins and extensions, Sawfish code snippets; what not. Perl modules and other API-level libraries are of course "library" and not "extension".

Interesting URLs and quotes I've stumbled over, proudly hosted by de.lirio.us I swore I wouldn't start blogging "traditionally" and I guess I don't. I'm blogging the way Jorn Barger presciently "logged the web", by making notes about sites I visit along the way. (At least that's the plan. No particular ambition or agenda, just a stream of consciousness, collecting "interesting stuff" I've surfed or stumbled across.) Sites with lots of intriguing stuff on them The site may not look like much (or it might, but some of these are elusive in that way). Don't think you can get away with reading one or two pages -- there's a lot of material to explore, get back to occasionally, get swept away by.

This "metaphysical" tag is for collecting descriptions of tags I collect links to tag categories with this tag. Each should explain the purpose of its tag in more detail. I guess this is only useful for tags which are not completely transparent, such as probably mostly meta-tags I use for keeping tabs on my tags, as it were.

Just in case This category is for bookmarks I keep just in case I'd need that information one day. Probably no biggie if I lost these. But they're still more important than the ones I don't tag with a priority tag at all. See also the tags 00a, 01a, and 02a.

Bookmarks to keep around This category is for bookmarks I will probably not want to lose, although if I really had to, I could probably find them again. Many will be mostly of historical interest, i.e. sites I have found useful at one point, and I keep a link just in case; or perhaps I expect to want to direct someone to this site one day. See also the other priority tags 00a, 01a, and 03a.

Important bookmarks This tag is for the bookmarks I don't want to lose, and want to have at hand easily in a condensed listing. They may be sites I visit myself frequently, or sites I direct others to, occasionally or frequently. See also 00a, 02a, 03a.
