The Phoenix police department raided the home of Jeff Pataky, a blogger who writes about, and criticizes the Phoenix police department. The reason behind the raid, Pataky believes, is that sources inside the police department confirmed that the police don’t like him questioning the behavior of the department.

When you used to visit a bar or restaurant that serves alcohol, you could drink in relative anonymity. Not so anymore. More and more you end up having to show ID, usually your driver’s license, which means that it is entirely likely your license has been swiped through a driver’s license scanner. These scanners are supposed to only verify that your license is valid, leaving the “checker” to do the math as to whether you are old enough to drink.
