UU discusses ‘Spiral Dynamics' DVD By The Porterville Recorder Staff Ivan Ball will lead a discussion of a DVD lecture titled “Spiral Dynamics and the historical Jesus,” by Paul Alan Laughlin. He continues his analysis of New Thought Spirituality with a discussion of Spiral Dynamics as formulated by Clare Graves, Don Beck, Ken Wilber and others. Spiral Dynamics sees the evolution of human consciousness as passing through several levels of consciousness. The presentation will examine these levels in psychological, social and historical terms. Laughlin suggests that New Testament scholarship and theology move toward a more integral and holistic interpretive methodology.
