Prequel to Origins of Myth. When Draco doesn't return to Hogwarts after winter hols, Hermione fears that their plan failed and Draco has been captured of killed by Death Eaters. She goes to Snape for assistance in locating him. While their efforts are not immediately productive in that direction, their working relationship proves fruitful in discerning a way to counter Voldemort.
