"Like most good Americans, I am going to fire up the grill and create a burnt offering for my family to enjoy. I will crack open a nice cold beer (perhaps one of my newly brewed Scotch Ale bottles), and sit in my favorite outdoor chair and drink in the warmth and beauty of the September evening, while I wait for my steaks to take on that beautifully burnished look. You know what I mean. That gorgeous reddish brown crisscrossed with black grill marks and crispy pieces of beef fat tenaciously clinging to the perimeter. I will breath in the scent of the smoke as it mingles with the pre-dusk air, and reminisce about a strangely satisfying Summer.
