In essence, Simpy is a web site that provides a bookmarking service.
This means you can save bookmarks (also known as favorites) in Simpy,
instead of in your browser.  This has several advantages:

  - You can access your bookmarks from *anywhere* and not just from
    the computer where your bookmarks are stored (e.g. your computer
    at work).

  - You can keep bookmarks private or share them.  If you keep your
    bookmarks in your browser, you cannot share anything.

  - Simpy's search functionality is excellent, so you can actually
    find a bookmark you once saved.  This is nearly impossible with
    bookmarks in your browser - you never know which folder you saved
    something and the search functionality is very basic.

  - Your bookmarks are more secure (when was the last time you backed
    up your computer's data?)

  - Once you save some bookmarks into Simpy, you will start seeing
    other users who are similar to you.  You can see these people on
    your Simpy profile page after you save a few dozen bookmarks and
    tag them.
