The 39 Steps (1935)
Alfred Hitchcock followed up his first international success, The Man Who Knew Too Much with an even better film, The Thirty Nine Steps. Hitchcock must have had a particular fondness for this film because I see elements of it North By Northwest, Saboteur, and Torn Curtain.
If you’re a fan of westerns, you’re going to love this one. The tale involves a man by the name of Ivan Coburn, portrayed by Spencer, who as it would happen has deflowered the wrong woman. The girl turns out to be the sister of a notorious gunman named Sonny, portrayed by legendary Jack Palance.
The Day of The Wolves - Western Classic -John Wayne
The plot of this film revolves around a criminal mastermind who has put together a team of thieves. These guys have never met one another and it doesn’t look like they’ll ever really know one another either because the head of the group simply assigns them numbers as their new names.
