The Himalayas run through the entire northern part of India, covering five states of India. The term ‘Himalaya’ - a Sanskrit word which means ‘the Abode of Snow’ They have the largest mountain peaks in the world and stretches across six countries in Asia i.e. Bhutan, China, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
